Drainage & Grading That Protects the Property

In North Texas clay, water that can’t drain doesn’t disappear — it stands, drowns turf, breeds mosquito-friendly puddles, and works on your foundation. We regrade, redirect, and drain so every storm leaves your property the way it found it.

The Most Valuable Work You’ll Never See

Expansive clay is the defining fact of DFW dirt: it swells when soaked, shrinks when baked, and moves whatever sits on it. The fix starts with reading how water actually travels across your property — then reshaping grade, capturing runoff, and giving it somewhere legal and harmless to go.

We build positive grade away from structures, set surface drains and channel drains where sheet flow collects, and tie systems together so parking areas, turf, and beds all shed water instead of storing it. Your landscape stays healthier, and your slab stays happier.

Good questions

Drainage & Grading Questions

How do I know if my property has a drainage problem?

Standing water a day after rain, mushy turf strips, mulch washing out of beds, water stains on curbs and slabs, or doors that stick seasonally are all signals. We diagnose by walking the property — ideally right after a rain — and mapping where water starts, travels, and stalls.

Will drainage work tear up my landscape?

Less than you would think. Trenches are cut clean, turf is saved and re-laid where possible, and beds are put back better than we found them. Most projects read as invisible within a few weeks — except that the puddles are gone.

Do you handle commercial drainage projects?

Yes — parking islands, campus turf areas, HOA common grounds, and retail frontage across DFW. Poor drainage on a commercial property is a liability and a landscape-killer at the same time; we fix both problems in one scope.
