Patios & Walkways Built on More Than Looks
Patios and walkways are the most-used square footage of any landscape — every guest, tenant, and customer travels them. We design and build in pavers and natural stone over engineered bases, so the surfaces that carry your property’s traffic carry it for decades.
What’s Under the Stone Decides Everything
DFW clay moves — and a patio is only as good as the base fighting that movement. We excavate to depth, compact engineered base in lifts, screed precise bedding, and set edges that lock the field together. That’s the invisible 80% of a surface that never heaves or ripples.
On top, materials worth the base: pavers in patterns that suit the architecture, or natural stone laid with tight, intentional joints. Grades pitch water away from structures, transitions meet doors and turf cleanly, and the finished surface feels inevitable — like the property always had it.
- Excavated, compacted, engineered bases
- Pavers & natural stone — not poured slabs
- Drainage pitched into the design
- Edges locked — no spreading, no ruts
Surfaces for Every Way People Use the Property
Each build is designed to its traffic, architecture, and grade.
Outdoor rooms sized for the furniture, the grill, and the crowd they will host.
The approach that sets the property’s tone — graded, lit-ready, and generous.
Amenity spaces and connections built to commercial traffic loads.
Stepping stone and paver routes that invite the walk through the landscape.
Settled or spreading hardscape rebuilt on the base it should have had.
Patio & Walkway Questions
Why pavers or stone instead of poured concrete?
Clay movement cracks slabs — it is not if, it is where. Pavers and stone flex with the soil, and if anything ever settles, we lift and relay that section invisibly instead of sawing out a slab. They also simply look better every year the property ages.
How long does a patio project take?
Most residential patios run days to a couple of weeks depending on size and features; commercial plazas scale with scope. Design and material lead times are the variable worth planning around — another reason the design conversation starts early.
Can you match existing stone or pavers?
Usually, yes — between manufacturer lines and natural stone yards we can blend extensions and repairs into existing work. Where an exact match no longer exists, we design transitions that read intentional rather than patched.
